Writer & Editor
I recently moved to Boston for a freelance career after spending more than a decade in magazine publishing in New York City. I was on the masthead of titles such as People, Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal. Over the years my beats have included parenting, body, health, fitness, travel, finance, shopping, entertainment and celebrities.
I continue to contribute to People from afar — body content in particular remains a great fit with my personal interest in fitness and health. As a staffer I led People.com's Bodies vertical, directing the brand's online coverage of celebrity and real-people weight loss, fitness trends, plastic surgery and body positivity. I run a lot — often with my two very little kids (but sometimes away from them)!
My corporate clients range from a worldwide athletic footwear and apparel company to one of the country's largest insurance firms. Past small business clients include a health and wellness app startup, dating websites and more.
Other things to know: I have an M.S. from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
It's pretty cool that I get to try fitness classes for a living! Here I am going for a spin on BikeBus, a stationary bike experience on a converted city bus. Check out my People story and learn how the Boston-based company hopes to turn boring commutes into super productive, high-energy, calorie-torching rides.
