I have been fortunate to cover many fascinating topics throughout my journalism career, but my specialty is health and fitness, a perfect match for my personal interest in all things wellness. I've chronicled my training for the New York City Marathon, followed a Paralympic gold medalist's IVF journey, been wowed by a powerlifting mom and tested fitness trends, from group fitness like F45 to a super sleek at-home rower. I regularly write and edit digital stories for People, covering health breakthroughs, celebrity struggles, mental health, fitness, nutrition, body activism, weight loss and more.

Prior to going freelance, I was on staff at People, Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal and I enjoyed stints at New York and Seventeen.

Additional clients — past and present — include Fidelity, Allstate, Nike, Real SimpleWorking Mother, SelfWeight Watchers, New York, New York Weddings, Woman's Day, What to Expect, Food & Wine, Dallas Child, Chicago Magazine, Time Out New York, The Knot, Nerve, KC Magazine and KC Business.

When I am not traveling for races you can find me strength training, boxing or going for a run — often with my two kids (but sometimes away from them)!

Other things to know: I have an M.S. from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. I currently live in Boston.
